Dorothy G. Theobald, 95, of the Presbyterian Home and formerly of Whitesboro passed away on Friday, March 22, 2013. Dorothy was born in Utica on December 30, 1917 a daughter of John and Grace Peters and received her education in the Utica Schools. At St. Mary's Church in New York Mills on June 25, 1937 she was united in marriage to Sidney Theobald, a blessed union of 43 years until his death in 1980. For 30 years until her retirement Dorothy was employed with the Utica Cutlery Co. She was a member of St. Paul's Church, Whitesboro, a member and Past President of the American Legion Post #1113 Ladies Aux., member of the V.F.W. Post #7393 Ladies Aux., New York Mills and the Whitesboro and New York Mills Senior Citizens. Dorothy always loved to play bingo and would go just about anywhere to play a game. Dorothy is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Judith and Donald Rahn, Clinton and Bonnie Constabile, Clinton, 6 grandchildren and spouses, Donald and Suzanne Rahn, Niskayuna, NY, Michael and Amy Rahn, Westmoreland, Lisa and James Benesch, Whitesboro, Jennifer and Stephen Sabino, Clinton, Wendy Fauteux, Clinton and Gina Olivadese, Whitesboro, 16 great grandchildren, Christopher, Gregory, Michael, Michele, Holly, Trevor, Shannon, Brent, Stephanie and husband, Michael Forte, Brianne, Kristi, David, Scott, Douglas, Amanda, and Zachary, and 2 great great grandchildren, Kaden and Derrick. Dorothy was predeceased by a brother, Robert Peters and a sister, Viola Barr. Mrs. Theobald's funeral will be held on Monday, March 25, 2013 at 9:15 from the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica and at 10:00 from St. Paul's Church, Whitesboro. Burial will take place in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Whitesboro. Calling hours at the funeral home are Sunday (Today) from 2-5. Those so wishing may make donations to the American Cancer Society in Dorothy's memory. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Daniel Goodman and the staff of the Maple Unit of the Presbyterian Home for all the loving care they gave to Dorothy.
