Obituary of Anne Loretta Granatelli

Mrs. Anne Loretta Granatelli, 88, of Indiana, formerly of Port Chester, NY and Utica, NY, passed away on February 15, 2013 at Chicago Lord Christian Village in Crown Point, IN with her loving family by her side. Anne was born in Port Chester, NY on March 24, 1924 the daughter of Joseph and Anne Marie (Quigg) Brathowski and was a graduate of Port Chester High School. On July 26, 1953, Anne married Andrew V. Granatelli at Our Lady of Mercy Church in Port Chester, NY, a devoted union of 41 years until Andrews death in 1994. She was a parishioner of St. Elizabeth Anne Seton Church in Indiana and former member of St. Peter's Church in N. Utica. Anne enjoyed crafts, travel, camping, baking wedding cakes and was an active member of the North Utica Community Center. Mrs. Granatelli is survived by two daughters, Loretta Granatelli Olney and her husband Andy of Seattle Washington and Kate Thomas of Valparaiso, IN; two sons, Alfred Granatelli and JoAnn Milde of Hebron, IN and Robert Granatelli and his wife Barbara of Appleton, WI; 11 cherished grandchildren, Elithebeth Olney, Patricia Thomas, Rachel Thomas, Kaitlin Thomas, Kevin Granatelli, David Granatelli, Aaron Shew, Alex Shew, Brandon Shew, Joseph Granatelli and his wife Natalie and Stephen Granatelli; one adored great grandson, Arias Thomas; one sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Antinino Amico as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Josephine Brathowski. A memorial Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Peter's Church, 422 Coventry Ave in North Utica. Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery in Port Chester, NY will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial calling hours for family and friends are Saturday morning, from 10:30-12:30 at the Heintz Funeral Home 408 Herkimer Rd., North Utica prior to the memorial Mass. Those wishing to make a donation in Anne's memory, please consider St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl., Memphis, TN 38105 The family cordially invites friends and family to a luncheon at the Eagles Club, 10513 Cosby Manor Rd. in Deerfield, following the memorial Mass.
