Judith A. Antanavige, 76, of Utica, passed away Monday, March 18, 2013 at St. Luke's Healthcare Center, New Hartford, NY. Judy was born in Utica, NY on June 26, 1936, the daughter of Charles and Mae (Farrow) Adams. She grew up and was educated at St. Francis de Sales school. On August 18, 1956, Judy married Richard Antanavige in Utica, NY. She was predeceased by her husband in 1965. She had worked for Vyners Drug Store in Utica, NY, and later as a pharmaceutical clerk with NCS Medical Records. Judy was of the Catholic faith. She loved camping at Sylvan Beach with her friends. You could often find Judy curled up with her crossword puzzles, Wise chips and a can of Pepsi. Judy is survived by four children, Richard (and Melody) Antanavige, New Hartford, NY, David (and Maryanne) Antanavige, New Hartford, NY, Deborah (and Michael) Schrauth, Clinton, NY, Lisa Novak, Sauquoit, NY; eleven grandchildren, Richard (& Patty) Antanavige, Michael Antanavige, Caitlin Antanavige, Morgan Antanavige, David Antanavige, Stephen Antanavige, Victoria Antanavige, Christopher Faniglula, Michael Spinella, Danielle Martello, and Corey Novak; three great grandchildren, Ryan Antanavige, Valerie Antanavige, and Levi Bartlett. Also surviving is her longtime friend, Ron Jones, Westmoreland; and her sister-in-law, Carol (& Butch) Walczak, NJ. She was predeceased by a sister, Margaret Eilers and a brother, Jack Adams. Mrs. Antanavige's funeral will be held at St. Anthony's Church in Utica on Friday, March 22, 2013 at 10:30 am where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Whitestown. In keeping with Judy's wishes, there is no public visitation. Arrangements are entrusted to the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., North Utica. Those wishing may donate to the National Kidney Foundation in Judy's memory.
