Linda M. Yero, 63, of Barneveld, formerly of Utica, passed away February 18, 2013 at the Siegenthaler Center, Clinton. Linda was born in Utica on February 26, 1949, the daughter of Peter W. and Catherine (Biel) Misch. She was raised and educated in Utica, and was a graduate of the class of 1967 at UFA. On May 25, 1968, at St. Peter's Church, Utica, Linda married her high school sweetheart and soul mate Dennis W. Yero. For a number of years, Linda had been employed with the Utica Public Library as a assistant librarian. She was also employed for a time as a cashier with Walmart, but her favorite job was being a housewife. Linda will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She had a strong faith in God, which she used to guide her through her life. Her greatest love and her legacy is her family. Linda is survived by her husband, Dennis; two daughters and their husbands, Denise and Philip Verrenti of New Hartford, Kimberly Yero and Gary Green of Utica; two sons and their wives, Edward and Lisa Yero of NC., Scott and Crystal Yero of Rochester. She also leaves ten grandchildren, Trey, Donte, Allison, Hailey, Micah, Michael, Donnell, Annalena, Deyanna, and Samuel; all who held a piece of their "Mema's" heart. Also, a sister and brother, Nancy Stoffel of VA and Peter J. Misch and family of the Philippines; and her inlaws, Samuel and Marcia Yero of Utica, Brian and Amy Yero of Ilion, and Elaine and John Sergi of Herkimer. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to Dr. Sikder and Razia's Office, Dr. Block's Office, the 6th floor staff at St. Luke's, and all the beautiful people that loved and cared for Linda, especially those at Hospice Siegenthaler Center. Mrs. Yero's funeral will be held Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 10:00 at St. Peter's Church, N. Utica, where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Her burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Utica. Calling hours will be at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica, Friday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 pm.
