Theresa M. Lichtarski, 51, of Utica, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at the St. Luke's Home in New Hartford. Theresa was born in New Hartford on January 15, 1962, the daughter of Frank and Daisy (Peters) Lichtarski. She was raised and educated locally. Theresa and her family were members of Sacred Heart Church in Utica before its closing. Theresa is survived by her sister and brother-in-law with whom she resided, Anna and John Zongrone, Utica; her three nephews - the loves of her life, John Zongrone, III, Jordan Zongrone, and Jason Zongrone; her extended family, Jennifer Zongrone, Utica, Jonene and Pete Orsaeo, Sauquoit, Jerry Orsaeo, New Hartford, Richard Payne, Utica; her three "fairy godmothers", Diane Trapp, Tracy Nicewicz, and Nancy Czebieniak. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Besides her parents, Theresa is predeceased by an aunt, Anna Peters and Thelma Zongrone. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 2 pm at the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica with Rev. Felix Colosimo presiding. Interment in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Whitestown, will take place at the convenience of the family. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Saturday, from 12 - 2 pm, prior to the memorial service.
