Mary E. Lehmann, 85, of Clinton passed away on Monday, January 21, 2013 at Martin Luther Care. Mary was born on July 28, 1927 a daughter of James and Rosanna (White) Cackett. She was a 1946 graduate of Clinton High School. In 1948 Mary was united in marriage to Louis W. Lehmann, Jr., a blessed union of 45 years until his death in 1997. In 1962 the couple moved to Oneonta, NY and resided there until Louis' death. Mary then relocated back to Clinton. During her life Mary was employed with various Insurances Agencies including Blue Cross and Blue Shield. Mary loved to garden and she taught ceramic classes out of her house. She will be remembered for her quick wit , sense of humor and her thankful heart. Mary is survived by a sister, Evelyn Williams, Holland Patent and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a special brother Robert Cackett, who cared for her every need after the passing of her husband, Louis. She was also predeceased by sisters and brothers, Rosanna, Jane, Irene, James, George and Grover. In keeping with Mary's wishes there are no calling hours. A private funeral will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in St. Joseph"s Cemetery, Yorkville, NY. Those so wishing may make a donation to a charity of their choice in Mary's name. The family extends their heartfelt thanks for the wonderful compassionate care from the staff of Mapleview and the Activities Department of the Lutheran Care and also to her dedicated caregiver, Ann Garro. The family is thankful for her dear friend and advocate, Barbara Wren. Also Janet Cackett, who has always there for Mary and our family.
