Violet A. Fuller North Utica Violet A. Fuller, 88, of North Utica, passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2012 in St. Elizabeth's Medical Center with her loving family by her side. Violet was born in Pittston, PA on September 28, 1924. On November 25, 1944 at St. Mary's Church in Oneonta, NY Violet was united in marriage to Carl Fuller, a blessed union of 48 years until his death on December 20, 1992. While living in Oneonta Violet and Carl managed a small grocery store and post office. For many years she was employed in the meat department of Loblaws Grocery Store in North Utica and was also a crossing guard in North Utica. Violet was of the Catholic Faith. Violet was a wonderful homemaker who took pride in attending to the needs of her family. She was a loving and compassionate mother, grandmother and great grandmother to her five children, ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren and will be forever remembered for her dedication to her family. Violet is survived by her children, Terence and Saveria Fuller, N. Utica, David and Geraldine Fuller, N. Utica, Debra and George Penree, N. Utica, Carol and Frank Asselta, Yorkville, and Michele Greer, Schuyler, ten grandchildren, Scott, Rebecca, Tina, Jason, George, Christopher, Carleen, Edward, Shaun and Brandon, six great grandchildren and one sister-in-law, Bridgett Fuller, NJ. She was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Ken Fuller. Mrs. Fuller's funeral service will be held on Friday, January 4, 2013 at 12:00 noon at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are prior to the service from 10 - 12. Those so wishing may make a donation in Violet's memory to the Stevens Swan Humane Society. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of the Cardio Thoracic Special Care Unit of St. Elizabeth's Medical Center for all the loving care given to Violet.
