Harold A. "Tony" Tine, Jr., 63, of New Hartford, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, October 17, 2012, at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare Center in New Hartford. Tony was born in Utica on June 6, 1949, the son of Harold A. and Mary (Loran) Tine. He was raised and educated in Whitesboro. On August 18, 1979, Tony married Jennifer (Jastremski) Sassone at Blessed Sacrament Church in Utica. He was employed with Dairylea and then later with the Central NY Psychiatric Center in Marcy, retiring after 25 years. Tony was a member of St. George's Church in Utica until its closing. He then attended Our Lady of the Rosary Church in New Hartford. Tony was a member of the "Sons of an American Veteran" VFW Post # 6001, Yorkville. Tony is survived by his beloved wife, Jennifer Tine, New Hartford; a son, Michael Sassone, New Hartford; and a cherished granddaughter, Bianca Sassone. He also leaves several nieces and nephews and numerous cousins as well as many in-laws, including his mother-in-law, Frances Jastremski, Utica. Tony is predeceased by a special Goddaughter, Amy Adams. A Memorial Mass will be held for Mr. Tine on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of the Rosary Church in New Hartford. There are no calling hours. Interment will take place at the convenience of the family. Those wishing may donate to the Stevens-Swan Humane Society in Tony's memory.
