Elizabeth R. Graf, 86, of Utica, passed away Saturday, September 15, 2012 at the Abraham House in Utica. Elizabeth was born on April 26, 1926, in Utica, the daughter of Norbert and Rosella (Wagner) Graf. She was raised and educated in Utica. Elizabeth was employed with St. Luke's Hospital for over 26 years. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph & St. Patrick's Church, Utica, and their Altar Rosary Society and the Perpetual Adoration Society. Elizabeth is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Joseph Schmitt, Utica; her sister-in-law, Catherine Graf, Utica; many nieces and nephews, including 5 special nephews, Edward, George, Robert, Richard, and Joseph Schmitt, all of Utica. She is also survived by her beloved feline companion, Tia. She is predeceased by a brother, Robert Graf. Miss Graf's funeral will be held on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at 9:15 am from the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica and at 10:00 am at St. Joseph & St. Patrick's Church where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Utica. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home, Tuesday evening, from 4 - 7 pm. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may donate to the Mother Marianne West Side Soup Kitchen or to the Abraham House in Elizabeth's memory.
