Mrs. Joyce A. (Miller) Mammone, 72, of Schuyler, passed away on Wednesday August 15, 2012 at the Abraham House in Utica. Joyce was born in Stittville, NY on July 26, 1940 the daughter of Harold and Gladys (Mudge) Miller. She was raised and educated in Holland Patent and was a graduate of Holland Patent High School. In April of 1960, Joyce married Joseph (Toby) Mammone at St. Agnes Church in Utica, a devoted union of 43 years, until Joseph's death in 2003. Joyce enjoyed reading and doing Sudoku puzzles but her true passion was her flower garden and vegetable garden. Mrs. Mammone is survived by four daughters and two sons-in-law, Cathy and Dominick Soldato of N. Utica, Anna and Richard Hurst of St. Petersburg, FL, JoAnn Mammone of Utica and Lisa Mammone of NY Mills; nine grandchildren, Philip Bogan, Steven Dellanno, Nicolas Dellanno, Leanne Dellanno, Melissa Hurst, Alena Hurst, David Hurst, Matthew Encarnacao and Justin Mammone; two great grandchildren, Khaliq Howard and Makaila Dellanno; one sister, Deborah Favata of Stittville; one brother, Lloyd Miller of Stittville; a special lifelong friend, Roland Bertram and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, LeMoyne Snyder. Calling hours for family and friends are Friday August 17, 2012 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica. A private funeral and burial will be held at the convenience of her family.
