Mrs. Kathleen M. Harmon, 73, of Whitesboro, passed away on Friday July 27, 2012 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare in New Hartford. Kathleen was born in Utica on December 12, 1938, the daughter of Merwin and Marie (Walker) Hart and received her education in Utica schools. Kathleen was employed with Mele Manufacturing Company in Utica, later with Gateway Motel and most recently with Hamilton Digital in Utica. She enjoyed bingo, going to the casino with her sister Margaret, family picnics, Sunday morning coffee get togethers and most of all, loved spending time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Harmon is survived by her husband, Fred Harmon; two sons, Edward Loomis and Jim Dodge; one daughter, Brenda Dodge; a special sister, Margaret Decker; 7 cherished grandchildren, Diane Garramone, Ronald Loomis, Rachael Klein, Tiffany Dodge, Danielle DeStefano, Alyssa Dodge, and Cody Dodge as well as many great grandchildren. Also surviving are her brother-in-law, Harold Ingersoll and his wife Margaret, and a special niece, Debbie Jones and her husband Alan. She was predeceased by her parents, Merwin and Marie; her son, Ronald Loomis and two brothers-in-law, Ronald Decker and Albert Loomis. Mrs. Harmon's memorial service will be held on Friday August 3, 2012 at 8:00 p.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica. Her burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Whitesboro will be held at the convenience of her family. Calling hours for family and friends are Friday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. prior to the service.
