Mrs. Virginia Betts Remick, 87, of Marcy, passed away Saturday July 7, 2012 at the Presbyterian Home for CNY in New Hartford. Virginia was born in Providence, Rhode Island on February 6, 1925 the daughter of Morton E. and Marguerite E. (Betts) Swift. She was raised in educated in Rhode Island, was a graduate of Cranston High School and Edgewood Junior College. In 1947, Virginia married Wilson Josiah Remick in Cranston, Rhode Island. Virginia was employed with the Boston Store and Denby's Clothing Store in Utica. She was of the Episcopal faith. Mrs. Remick is survived by her husband, Wilson; one daughter and son-in-law, Judith and Michael Henry of Rochester, NY; one son and daughter-in-law, David and Robin Remick of Groton, NY: five grandchildren. Kristin Henry, Kevin Henry, Lauren Henry, Ryanne LoPresti and her husband Michael and Cuyler Remick and his wife Mai Irie and one great granddaughter, Penelope Mai LoPresti. Mrs. Remick's funeral, under the direction of Heintz Funeral Service, Inc., N. Utica will be held at the convenience of her family, with burial in Marblehead, MA. There are no calling hours.
