Leroy (Buster) White, 81, of Utica, passed away at home on Saturday, May 19, 2012. Leroy was born in Utica on December 22, 1930 a son of the late Leroy and Gladys (Coyne) White. For many years Leroy worked as a self employed handyman in the Utica area. Leroy is survived by two special nieces who were like daughters to him, Karen Young, and Melinda Schmelcher, two sisters, Mae White and Barbara Brown, a brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Dominga White all of Utica and many nieces and nephews. Leroy was predeceased by 2 sisters, Patricia Rusaw and Marjorie Miner and a brother, Edward White. Calling hours for Mr. White will be held on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 from 4-7 at the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica. Burial will take place in Forest Hill Cemetery, Utica. In keeping with Leroy's wishes there will be no funeral services. Those so wishing may donations to the Stevens-Swan Humane Society in Leroy's memory.
