Donald J. (Gus) Muller, 72, of the Stonehedge Nursing Home and formerly of Utica passed away on Tuesday, May 1, 2012. Donald was born on June 18, 1939, a son of Joseph and Frances (Poplasky) Muller. For many years Donald was a self employed masonry contractor in the Utica area. He was of the Catholic faith. Donald is survived by his beloved twin sister Diana Marlowe who Donald was very close to and her late husband Larry , two sisters, Elizabeth Riedman, Utica and Eleanor Yoworski, Marcy, three brothers and a sister-in-law, Charles Muller, NM, Raymond Muller, Sylvan Beach and Henry and Carmetta Muller, Mohawk, NY, a daughter, Cindy Muller, Frankfort and a son, Donald Muller, eight grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Mrs. Terry Murray, West Winfield, NY. Donald was predeceased by a daughter, Denise Muller, a sister, Frances Panaswicz, two brothers, Chester Muller and Joseph Muller and two special nephews, Timothy Marlowe and Terry Muller. Mr. Muller's funeral service will be held on Friday May 4, 2012 at 11:00 at the Heintz Funeral Service, Inc., 408 Herkimer Rd. Utica, New York. A private burial will take place in Holy Trinity Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are Friday morning from 10 - 11, prior to the service. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the Stonehedge Nursing Home and the Dialysis Unit of Faxton-St. Luke's for all the loving care given to Donald.
