Marlene Sirianni, 74, of N. Utica passed away unexpectedly on Monday January 16, 2012 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare in New Hartford with her loving family by her side. Marlene was born in Utica on May 9, 1937 the daughter of Patrick and Mary (Leonard) Moschetti. She was raised in Utica and was a graduate of Proctor High School. In St. Mary of Mt Carmel Church, Marlene married Francis (Chick) Sirianni. For over 30 years until her retirement, Marlene was employed as a teacher's assistant with the Utica School district. Her love for the children and pride in her work were evident to all who knew her. Marlene was a devout parishioner of St. Mark's Church and its Altar Rosary Society and volunteered weekly at the Utica Food Pantry. She was an outstanding cook, whose Sunday dinners were a tradition treasured dearly by her family. Marlene's devotion to her children and grandchildren was the foundation of her Life. Marlene is survived by her three sons and two daughters-in-law, Mark Sirianni and Regina Talerico of N. Utica, Dean and Carol Sirianni of Deerfield and Jeff and Andrea Sirianni of Whitesboro; seven cherished grandchildren who affectionately knew her as "Nonnie", Sara, Paul, Phil, Nick, Kristen, Anthony and Jayden as well as her lifelong friends Mary and Tony Rosati. She was predeceased by her parents, Patrick and Mary. Mrs. Sirianni's funeral will be held on Friday January 20, 2012 at 9:15 a.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica and 10:00 at St. Mark's Church where her Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Whitesboro.
