Laura C. Fostini, 86, of Arrowhead Way, Clinton passed away at the Presbyterian Home for CNY on December 5, 2011. Laura was born in the Bronx, New York on November 1, 1925 the daughter of Alfred T. and Katherine (Paradise) Zamboni, and received her educated in New York City schools. On June 7, 1947 Laura married Philip Fostini, a devoted union of 40 years, until Philip's death in 1987. For a number of years, she was employed at Evergreen Laser in Durham, CT. In her younger years, Laura enjoyed expressing herself with oil painting and most recently enjoyed gardening, cooking, caring for animals and above all else received her greatest joy from spending time with her grandchildren. Laura is survived by a daughter, Joyce Ellen Fostini of CT; two sons and daughters-in-law, Philip and Janina Fostini of CT and Paul and Robin Fostini of Clinton; six grandchildren, Nicolas and Christopher Fostini, Loriana Rand, Maddisen and Isabell Fostini, and Jana Katz. Also two cherished great grandchildren, Aiden and Dakota Rand; and one brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Brenda Zamboni of Ryebrook, NY. Laura was predeceased by a sister, Rita Scotti. A graveside service for Mrs. Fostini will be held Thursday, December 8, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at Rose Hills Memorial Park, Putnam Valley, N.Y.. Calling hours will be held at the Heintz Funeral Home, 10 E. Park Row, Clinton on Wednesday evening, from 5:00 till 7:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations in Laura's memory would be appreciated to the Stevens-Swan Humane Society.
