Pauline V. Fatata, 84, of North Utica, passed away Sunday, November 27, 2011 at the St. Luke's Home, New Hartford with her loving family at her side. Pauline was born in Ellenburg, NY on October 31, 1927 a daughter of Walter and Emma (Tacy) Goodell. She received her education in Ellenburg and Malone, NY and was a 1943 graduate of St. Joseph's Academy and a 1944 graduate of Plattsburg Business School. In New York Mills, NY on September 4, 1954 Pauline married Samuel J. Fatata. For several years until her retirement Pauline was employed with the Oxford Home Nursing Care. Prior to this throughout her working career she was employed with WKTV, Broadacres SNF, Oneida County, and the Meat Cutters Union. Pauline was a parishioner of St. Peter's Church, N. Utica, member of the North Utica Women's Civic Club and President and Board Member of the West Side Senior Center. Pauline also enjoyed knitting, sewing, reading, crossword puzzles but her favorite pastime was caring for her grandchildren. Pauline is survived by her husband, Samuel, three daughters and two sons-in-law, Marilyn and Richard Arndt, Sauquoit, Susan and Thomas Levesque, Jr., Portsmouth, RI, and Kimberley Hall, Charleston, SC, three sons and two daughters-in-law, Kevin and Julie Fatata, New Hartford, Scott Fatata, Utica and Neil and Linda Fatata, Utica, a sister, Marilyn Janice Murphy, Vancouver, WA, and a sister-in-law, Marie Goodell, New Milford, CT. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Pauline was predeceased by her son Gregory in 1961 and 3 brothers, Robert, Richard and Donald Goodell. Mrs. Fatata's Funeral will be held Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at 9:15 from the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica and at 10:00 from St. Peter's Church, N. Utica. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are Tuesday (Tonight) from 4-7. Those so wishing may make donations to the West Side Senior Center or the Stevens-Swan Humane Society. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the 3rd Floor staff of the Allen Calder Wing of Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare and the staff of Clark North of the St. Luke's Home for all the loving care they gave to Pauline.
