Mr. Frank A. Carino, Sr., 85, of Deerfield, passed away on Friday, April 28, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Utica. Frank was born in Utica on March 6, 1932 the son of Angelo and Barbara (Seminaro) Carino and received his education in Utica Schools. Frank honorably served his country in the United States Army. On November 24, 1951, Frank married Marilyn D. Bord at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Church in Utica, a loving and devoted union of 62 years, until Marilyn’s death in 2013. For many years, he was employed as a postal supervisor with the United States Postal Service, retiring in 1989. Frank was a member of American Legion Utica Post 229 in N. Utica and the Eagles Club in Deerfield, two organizations he truly loved going to. He was also an avid golfer and a parishioner of St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Church in Utica. Mr. Carino is survived by six of his eight children and their spouses and two beloved daughters-in-law, Angelo and Sandra Carino of WA, Toni Carino of Deerfield, Christine Carino of Remsen, Vincent and Cheryl Carino of Ilion, Elaine Carino of N. Utica, Edward and Catherine Carino of Cassville, Karen and Buddy Riggs of WA and Christine Carino of Deerfield, a granddaughter, Anna Carino who Frank raised like a daughter, as well as 18 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sons, Frank Carino, Jr. and Steven Carino, one brother, Joe Carino and three sisters, Eleanor Marcoulier, Gracie Parenti and Josephine Ferris. There are no calling hours and Mr. Carino’s funeral will be held privately at the convenience of his family. His entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum in Utica.
