Pauline I. LaValley, 81, of North Utica passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare. Pauline was born in Saginaw, MI on April 8, 1930 a daughter of Emil and Rose (Castagnier) Bordeau. Pauline's family moved to Cornwall, Ontario, Canada when she was young, There she was raised and received her education. On July 8, 1950 at the Church of The Nativity in Cornwall, Pauline married Robert D. LaValley. For several years Pauline was employed in the drafting department at General Electric on French Rd. then later became a buyer for F. W. Woolworth's retiring in 1993. She was a parishioner of St. Peter's Church, N. Utica. Pauline is survived by her husband Robert, a daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Greg Janicke, New Hartford, three sons and two daughters-in-law, Brian LaValley, Eastham, MA, Robert and Cheryl LaValley, Marcy and Mark and Connie LaValley, Cooperstown, NY, seven grandchildren, Michael LaValley, Laura LaValley, Robin Irizarry, Renee LaValley, Rebecca LaValley, Devin LaValley and Mackenzie LaValley, four great grandchildren, Gabriella, Gehrig, Isabella and Grayson, and a sister, Lorraine Harrington, Cornwall, Ontario, Canada. Pauline was predeceased by a brother, Raymond Bordeau. Mrs. LaValley's funeral will be held on Monday, November 21, 2011 at 9:15 from the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., Utica and at 10:00 from St. Peter's Church, N. Utica. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are Sunday from 2-4.
