Linda Mae Turner, 68 of North Utica passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 3, 2011. Linda was born in Utica on September 24, 1943 a daughter of the late Orville C. and Eva I. (Williams) VanAllen. She was raised and educated in Utica and was a graduate of Utica Free Academy. Linda was currently the owner and operator of the Davis Motel in North Utica. Linda was blessed with a feisty personality and extremely well known for her ability to enjoy life to its fullest. She derived much joy in playing cards and spending time socializing with her friends. Her zest for fun was infectious and will be missed by all. Linda is survived by her sister, Barbara VanAllen, North Utica, a son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Paola Turner, Miamisburg, OH, three grandchildren, Andrew Turner and wife Hannah, Maderia Beach, FL, Dylan Turner, Miamisburg, OH and Averi Turner, Miamisburg, OH, two great grandchildren, Athen Turner, Maderia Beach, FL and Marley Turner, Miamisburg, OH, she is also survived by many cousins especially acknowledging a special cousin Todd Haman. Linda's funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at 8:00 P.M. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica. Calling hours at the funeral home are Tuesday from 5-8. Burial will take place in the West Schuyler Cemetery. Please omit flowers. Those so wishing may make donations to the Stevens-Swan Humane Society in Linda's memory.
