Mr. Howard A. Bills, Sr., 78, of Frankfort, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday October 30, 2011. Howard was born in Utica on November 17, 1932 the son of Robert and Genevieve Bills and received his education in Utica schools. Howard honorably served his country in the US Army. In 1955, Howard married Jean M. Blum, in Utica, a devoted union of 21 years until Jean's death in 1976. For many years, Howard was employed with Mohawk Valley Psychiatric Center until his retirement. He was a longtime Parishioner of St. Joseph & St. Patrick Church in Utica. Mr. Bills is survived by his daughter, Donna Bills of Utica; son and daughter-in-law Howard A. Bills Jr. and his wife Donna of Utica; two grandchildren, Lee Parker of Michigan and Stephanie Shelkey of Utica and a great grandson, Nathaniel. Mr. Bills' funeral will be held on Wednesday November 2, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Joseph & St. Patrick Church, 702 Columbia St., Utica, where his mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow in St. Joseph cemetery in Yorkville. Calling hours for family and friends are Tuesday (today) from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica.
