Frank H. Schroeder, 91, of Schuyler passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at the Masonic Care Community. Frank was born in South Dakota on November 5, 1919, a son of the late Carl and Clair Schroeder. He was raised and educated in Fallon, NV. Frank proudly served his country in the Army Air Corp during World War II. At Grace Episcopal Church, Utica, on September 9, 1945 Frank married Helen Etienne, a blessed union of 48 years until her death in 1993. For over 40 years until his retirement Frank was employed with the Chicago Pneumatic Tool Co. Throughout his life Frank always enjoyed bowling. Frank is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Michael Hickey, Sr., Schuyler, two grandchildren, Wendy Caliguire and companion Jim Sylvester, Utica and Michael Hickey Jr. and wife Lisa, San Francisco, CA, two great grandchildren, Miles and K.J. Hickey, two sisters-in-law, Dolores and Robert Lockrow, Saratoga Springs, NY and Mary Ann Etienne, Utica and many nieces and nephews. Frank was predeceased by his son, Douglas Schroeder in August of 2011, a daughter-in-law, Linda Schroeder, two brothers, Grant and Walter Schroeder and an infant sister. Mr. Schroeder's funeral service will be held on Friday, October 14, 2011 at 11:00 at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica. Burial will be in the West Schuyler Cemetery.
