Obituary of Elizabeth E. Yule

Elizabeth E. "Betty" Yule, 92, formerly of Deerfield Drive East, Utica, passed away at her daughter's home on Saturday, October 8, 2011 with her loving family by her side. Betty was born January 31, 1919, in Utica, the daughter of Louis and Rosella (Heintz) Ehlinger. She was raised and educated in Utica. On June 1, 1942, Betty married George Yule, sharing a blessed union of fifty years before his passing in 1992. She was employed with Oneida National Bank for 21 years, retiring in 1977. Betty was a former member of St. Peter's Church in North Utica and a past president of their Altar Rosary Society. She volunteered for various organizations, including the Central Association for the Blind, the American Red Cross and Your Neighbors, Inc., although she was there for whoever needed her. Betty is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Dianne and Frank Perretta, Utica; seven grandchildren, Jim (& Heather), Barneveld, Joe (& Christie), New Hartford, Lisa (& Nick) Grieco, Utica, Laurie (& Tom) Zielinski, Utica, Christina, Utica, Therese, Utica, and John (& Nicole), Clinton, as well as by 16 cherished great grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister and brother-in-law, Roberta and Richard Wagner, Deerfield; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Joseph and Arlene Ehlinger, Little Falls, George Ehlinger, Poland, Peter and Carmen Ehlinger, Orchard Park, NY, and Paul and Christine Ehlinger, Monaca, PA, as well as by several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, Betty is predeceased by five sisters, Margaret Worlock, Rosella Isele, Armella Gorton, Frances Fonda, and Agnes Ashley; and two brothers, Thomas and Louis Ehlinger. Mrs. Yule's funeral will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at 9:45 am from the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Road, N. Utica and at 10:30 am at Historic Old St. John's Church, Utica, where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery, N. Utica. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home, Monday evening, from 5 - 7 pm. Those wishing may donate to Historic Old St. John's Church Memorial Fund in Betty's memory. The family thanks Dr. William Hall, the Visiting Nurses, and Fr. John Beuhler for their kind and prompt response during this difficult time.
