Frederick J. Abdoo, 60, a resident of the Applewood Community in New Hartford, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 11, 2011. Fred was born in Utica on May 19, 1951. He was the son of Louis and Helen (Joseph) Abdoo. Fred was raised and educated in Clinton, graduating from Clinton High School. He went on to join the US Navy. He was employed for a time with the US Postal Service. Fred was of the Catholic faith and a former member of the Church of the Annunciation in Clark Mills. Fred is survived by his sister, Luellen Abdoo, New York City; his brother, Robert Littrel, Waterville; a special aunt, Frances Gisondi, New Hartford; an uncle and aunt, Abe and Ann Joseph, Clinton. Also surviving are many cousins as well as special friends whom he considered family. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service for Fred at the Heintz Funeral Home, 10 East Park Row, Clinton on Thursday, September 15, 2011 at 7:00 pm. Interment will take place privately at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may donate to a local mental health organization in Fred's memory.
