Frank S. Pavlot 1950-2017 Frank, 66, of Marcy, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 15, 2017, at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center.
Frank was born in Herkimer on July 19, 1950, son of Greta Ritcher and the late Ike Herringshaw. He lived as a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy. After his service in the U.S. Navy, Frank began working at Remington Arms, then later transferred to Utica Corp. On April 9, 1998, in Marcy, Frank was married to Maura McGuigan. He proudly earned his associate's degree in Heating & Air Conditioning, and then promptly began working at Bank of America, where he was currently employed prior to his untimely death. He was a proud member of the National Rifle Association, and superfan to the NY Yankees & Giants. Frank had many passions, but developed a reputation for building, renovation, and was a skilled carpenter and general handyman in every sense. He was known for fixing and building just about anything and was always willing to lend his skills and abilities to friends and family.
Frank is survived by his wife, Maura, his mother, Greta Herringshaw, Herkimer, his children, Ryan Pavlot and wife, Tina, Utica, Cory Pavlot and fiancee, Liz Calder, Little Falls, Jimmy Pennise and wife, Chloe, San Diego, CA, Andrea Hanson and husband, Keith, Long Island, NY, and Shannon Reeves and husband, Andy , Rome, brothers and sisters, Nancy Janasaulas, Hartford, CT, Greta Rathbun, St. Johnsville, Lori Miller, Little Falls, Bill Pavlot, Gardners, PA Wendy Gorenchek and husband, Jim, Little Falls, Mark Pavlot, Syracuse, Todd Herringshaw and Karen McGrail, Albany and a large loving family of nieces, nephews, cousins and many great friends. Frank was predeceased by his father and a sister, Joy Biando. Frank loved his furry friends, Bear, Killian,Cassie, Oscar and Kia, almost as much as his children and was predeceased by three of them.
Calling hours for Mr. Pavlot will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2017 from 4-7 at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica with Military Honors to be conducted at 7:00. A celebration of life gathering will be held Saturday, April 22, 2017 from 2-6 at the Deerfield Fire Department, 5476 Trenton Road, Deerfield. The family also wishes to send a heartfelt thank you to the first responders from the Maynard Fire Department and Kunkel Ambulance for their heroic efforts. Those so wishing may make donations to the Maynard Volunteer Fire Department in Frank’s memory. Envelopes will be available at the calling hours.
