Patricia M. Haight, 76, of Clinton, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2011 at Rome Hospital. Pat was born in Utica on January 14, 1935, the daughter of Albert and Ann (Laska) Moore. She was raised and educated in Clinton, graduating from Clinton High School. Pat then went on to Utica State School of Nursing and became a registered nurse. She was employed with the Brookfield school system. On November 15, 1952, Patricia married Robert D. Haight. The couple made their home in Deansboro, NY and then moved to Gordon Lake, NY. Upon her retirement from Brookfield school, Pat and Robert moved to Hawaii, where she worked for Queens Hospital and Kaiser Hospital as well as provided home nursing. After 20 years in Hawaii, the couple returned to Clinton. Pat was an active member of the "Clinton Girls". She loved swimming, especially when she lived on Gordon Lake. Patricia was a member of St. Mary's Church in Clinton. Patricia is survived by her beloved husband, Robert Haight, Clinton; two daughters, Mary Beth Graham, MS, Ann Marie Kapolka, Georgetown, NY; a son, David Raymond Haight, TX; seven cherished grandchildren, Zachary, Darryl, Ronnie, Bobby, Darlene, Jermaine, and Tabitha, as well as by 7 great grandchildren. Also surviving is one sister, Bertye Martino, Clinton; one brother and sister-in-law, Mickey and Vicky Moore, LA as well as by 5 nieces and nephews. Patricia is predeceased by two sons, Robert, Jr., and Dennis Dale Haight. Mrs. Haight's funeral will be held on Friday, July 8, 2011 at 9:30 am at St. Mary's Church in Clinton. Interment will follow in St. Bernard's Cemetery, Waterville. Relatives and friends may call at the Heintz Funeral Home, 10 East Park Row, Clinton, Thursday evening from 4 - 7 pm.
