Aurelia Merriman Langdon Clinton Aurelia Merriman Langdon, 94, a resident of the Lutheran Homes in Clinton, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2011, at the nursing home. She was born in Utica, July 18, 1916, the daughter of Seth Grant and Love (Edwards) Merriman. In 1937, she graduated from Saint Elizabeth's School of Nursing and worked for many years as an office nurse for Utica surgeons, especially Harold Katzman and Melvin Smalley. Aurelia was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Whitesboro. Aurelia leaves a son, John (Janice) of Manlius; a daughter, Carla (James) Sivak of Ashland, MA; two granddaughters, Lisa (Matthew) Koch of Northville, MI, and Heather (Jason) Lazarow of Aston, PA; three grandsons, Scott (Amy) Sivak of Huntsville, AL, Mark Sivak of Boston, and Seth Sivak of Cambridge, MA; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her brother, Seth Grant Merriman II, and her sister, Isabelle Grossmeyer. There will be no calling hours. A Memorial Mass will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to the Heintz Funeral Home.
