Steven J. Lindsey, 53, of Utica, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2011 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare Center in New Hartford. Steven was born April 23, 1957, in Utica, the son of Earl and Lenore (Mulvaney) Lindsey. He was raised and educated locally. He was employed with Waste Management in Utica. Steven enjoyed various sports, and was always a fan of the New York teams. Steven is survived by his daughter, Lisa Sook, Utica, and his grandson, Darrell, Jr. He is also survived by several brothers and sisters. Steven is predeceased by the love of his life, Marjorie Sook, with whom he shared his life for 36 years. Marjorie passed away in 2009. Mr. Lindsey's funeral service will be held on Monday, April 18, 2011 at 5:00 pm at the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica. Interment will take place at the convenience of the family. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home, Monday evening, from 3 - 5 pm, prior to the service.
