Mrs. Toni M. (Terino) Kravec, 41, of Barneveld passed away Wednesday December 8, 2010 at her home after a long illness. Toni was born November 10, 1969 in Herkimer, NY the daughter of Anthony and Mary (Terry) Terino. She was raised and educated in Herkimer, was a graduate of Herkimer County Community College and earned her bachelor's degree in sociology from SUNYIT. On November 18, 1989, Toni married Shawn J. Kravec at West Schuyler United Methodist Church. For the past 10 years she was employed as a grant writer with the Utica Police Department. Toni was a loving and devoted wife and mother who found great joy and comfort being with her husband and children and also being active in her work related activities. She enjoyed Walt Disney World and spending time at her camp on Cape Vincent. She was of the Methodist faith. Mrs. Kravec is survived by her loving husband, Shawn; two cherished children, daughter, Blaze Kravec and son, Shane Kravec; her mother Mary Kravec of Schuyler; her father Anthony Terino of Schuyler; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Terry and Joe Carlesimo of Ilion and Taffey Popka of Syracuse; one brother and sister-in-law, John and Susan Popka of Syracuse; father-in-law, John Kravec of Schuyler; dear friends Toni Biancardi of Utica and Peter Fiorillo of Utica and her many active and retired co-workers at the Utica Police Department who were like family to Toni. Mrs. Kravec's funeral will be held on Monday December 13, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica. Interment will follow in Oakhill Cemetery in Herkimer, NY. Calling hours for family and friends are Sunday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, Please consider a donation to the American Cancer Society or Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc. in Toni's memory. Mrs. Kravec's family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the Staff of Hospice & Palliative Care, Inc. especially Kathy Smith for the wonderful care and compassion given to Toni.
