Eleanor Keyser Dodge, 83, of Schuyler passed away on Monday, March 27, 2017 at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center. Eleanor was born in Herkimer, NY on December 14, 1933, a daughter of George and Eula (Sohnn) Keyser. She was raised and educated locally and was a 1951 graduate of Proctor High School. On June 5, 1954 Eleanor was united in marriage to Kenneth M. Dodge at West Schuyler United Methodist Church. For many years she was employed at Pacemaker Millar Co. Eleanor was a member of West Schuyler United Methodist Church, Schuyler Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, Herkimer County Republican Club, Youth Bureau of Herkimer County and a 50 year member of the Eastern Star of Frankfort. Eleanor is survived by her husband, Kenneth, two sons and a daughter-in-law, Ronald Dodge, of Schuyler and Rodney and Tina Dodge, of Schuyler, five grandchildren, Charles Dodge and wife, Jennifer, Craig Dodge and Missy Ancona, Lacey Barry and husband, Brandon, Kelsey Dodge and Kyle Rowlands and Dale Dodge, three great grandchildren, Zoe Dodge, Olivia Dodge and Tyler Dodge, an aunt, Ellen Sohnn, of Herkimer and several special nieces and nephews. Eleanor was predeceased by a special niece, Cynthia Dodge and a special nephew, Duane Dodge. Mrs. Dodge's funeral will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at 11:00 from the West Schuyler United Methodist Church, Wood Lane, Schuyler, NY. A spring burial will take place in West Schuyler Cemetery. Calling hours at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica are Wednesday from 4-7. Those so wishing may make donations to the Schuyler Volunteer Fire Dept or the West Schuyler United Methodist Church in Eleanor's memory.
