Mr. Thomas F. Ellis, 49 of Utica passed away Friday October 15, 2010 at his home. Thomas was born in Utica on September 4, 1961. He was raised locally, was a graduate of Utica Free Academy and attended MVCC. At one time Thomas was employed with the Masonic Care Community in Utica. He enjoyed Bowling, watching all sporting events, especially the NY Mets and Minnesota Vikings and for many years participated in dart leagues in the Utica area. He was of the Catholic faith. Tom will always be remembered for his dedication to his mother, loyalty to his friends, quick smile and giant heart. Mr. Ellis is survived by his family and extended family; Brother John, of Utica; Godson Brandon Welsh, and many dear friends especially, the Butler family, Brian and Patti Waldren, Rick (Mungus) Butler, and Geri Schultz and her sons, David and Daniel. He was predeceased by his parents Frederick and Agnes. Mr. Ellis' funeral will be held on Thursday October 21, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica. Interment will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Whitesboro.
