After a long battle with respiratory and heart problems our Lord called Jim home on July 16, 2010. Jim retired from Munson Williams Proctor Arts Institute in Utica and was an Army Veteran. He was pre-deceased by his father John McGough, his mother Elizabeth Wilson McGough and brothers, John R. McGough and Robert R. McGough. Jim is survived by his sister M. Sharon Manley and brother- in-law David Manley; daughter Diane Nelson and husband Mike of Watertown NY; two grandchildren Kayla and Michael Nelson; sister-in-law Josephine McGough of New Hartford; several nieces, nephews and best friends Junior and Laura Gelti. Mr. McGough's funeral will be held on Monday July 19, 2010 at 9:15 a.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica and 10:00 at Our Lady of The Rosary Church, Burrstone Rd., New Hartford where his mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Interment with military honors will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Yorkville. Calling hours for family and friends are Sunday from 6:00-8:00 pm.
