Cindy (Francine) Cirillo, 59, of College Hill Rd., Vernon Center, passed away at her home on July 12, 2010. Cindy was born in Utica, NY on January 29, 1951, the daughter of Kenneth and Claire (Stepanick) Herr. She was raised and educated in the Whitesboro School system and later attended Utica College. On July 16, 1988 in Utica, Cindy was married to Carl A. Cirillo. She has been employed as a bus driver for the Whitesboro School District. Cindy was formerly employed with GE of Utica and owned her own cleaning business in the Utica for a number of years. She loved to fly airplanes, and take care of her many animals, especially her girls; Shelby, Shadow, Sadie, and Samantha, her feline companion; Maggie and her feathered friends; Louie and Oliver. Cindy is survived by her husband, Carl , two sons and a daughter in law; Michael E. Rudd of Rochester and John and Margaret Harmon of Marcy, one sister and brother in law; Kim and Kurt Gruenewald of Marcy, one brother; Keith Herr of Marcy. She also leaves two brothers in law and sisters in law; Nicholas and Patti Cirillo of Yorkville, James Cirillo of FL. and Kathleen Cirillo of Marcy, her favorite niece; Kim Guba and her husband Joseph of Marcy,and nieces and nephews; Kyle Gruenewald, Kourtney Coons, Brian Herr, and Andrew Cirillo and several great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and one sister-in-law, Penny Herr, in 2007. Mrs. Cirillo's funeral service will be held Thursday, July 15,2010 at 10:00 A.M. at the Heintz Funeral Home 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica. Her burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Whitestown. Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Wednesday from 4:00 till 7:00 pm. Donations in Cindy's memory would be appreciated to the Stevens-Swan Humane Society or to Spring Farm Cares.
