Mr. Joseph F. Kaminski, Jr., passed away on Sunday February 28, 2010 with his loving family by his side. Joseph was born in Albany on May 31, 1929 the son of Joseph and Josephine Kaminski and was educated in Utica Schools. In 1950 Joseph married Jeanette Shaheen. Joseph's life and careers began in radio and television repair and progressed to trainer for computer main frame repair with UNIVAC in Utica. He was a visionary and became co-owner of the first audio recording studio and record pressing company in upstate NY. Joseph later worked as a commercial truck driver and supervisor with UPS retiring in 1980. In his retirement he became fascinated with helicopters and pursued his license to become a pilot. He progressed from a novice hobbyist to partnering in the expert restoration and repair of many exotic rotary aircraft. He was a renowned hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman and was the holder of a US patent for a unique fishing pole design. Mr. Kaminski leaves his wife Jeanette their children; Joseph F. (III) and Susan of FL, John of Utica, Carol Ann of Long Island, Agnes and David of AL, Theresa and Sabatino of Whitesboro, Dawn Marie of Utica and Mary Rose of Long Island; grandchildren, Bill, Jacklyn, Casey, Jennifer, Christina, Jessica, Brett, Kerri, Shauna, Alexander, Jeffrey and Joseph F. (IV) and Sara Kaminski, Marcus, Tiffany, Giovanni, Gennelle and Sabatino, Jr., and great grandchildren, Mia Rose and Joseph F. Kaminski, V. He is also survived by brother, Edward, sisters, Marlene and Cecelia as well as many nieces, nephews, life long friends and extended family members in Poland (Europe). He was preceded in death by his daughter, Joanne, parents, Joseph and Josephine, brothers, Albert, and Alexander and sisters, Frances and Genevieve. A spring graveside service will be held at St. George's Cemetery in Whitesboro at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, Donations may be made to the Suncoast Hospice House, Tarpoon Rd., Tarpon Springs, FL 34689. A heartfelt thanks to our sister Theresa for dedicating herself to our father and making sure he received the care he needed during his final days.
