Marjorie D. Chamberlain, 85, of New St., Clinton, passed away February 26, 2010, at St. Lukes Healthcare with her loving family at her side. Marjorie was born in New York Mills on May 21, 1924, the daughter of Edwin L. and Margaret (Lewis) Snow. She was raised and educated in the Clinton School System. On May 3, 1947, in Waterville, NY, Marjorie was married to George Chamberlain. Mr. Chamberlain passed away in 2001. For a number of years, she had been employed at Hamilton College in their food service department. She had formerly worked for Utica Mutual and the Clinton Schools. Marjorie was a member of the Stone Presbyterian Church in Clinton. Marjorie's most enjoyment came from being a housewife, sharing her time with her family. Marjorie is survived by three daughters and a son-in-law, Mary Chamberlain, of Manlius, Lori Chamberlain, of Clinton, and Gayle and Tom Copfer, of Clinton; three sons and daughters-in-law, Tom and Betty Chamberlain, of Clark Mills, Robert and Pamela Chamberlain, of Woodlawn, VA, and George and Cindy Chamberlain, of Augusta. She also leaves seven grandchildren, Melissa Misiak, Christine, Alicia, Kristy and George Chamberlain, and Caitlyn and Ryan Copfer; two great-grandchildren, Tanner and Brayden Misiak; and one niece, Judy Snow. Marjorie was predeceased by her twin sister, Margaret Snow, and two brothers and a sister-in-law, Ted Snow, and Roger and Ruth Snow. Mrs. Chamberlain's funeral will be held Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at 10:00 AM at the Heintz Funeral Home, 10 East Park Row, Clinton, with the Rev. Dennis Dewey officiating. Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Monday evening from 3-6. Her burial will take place in Crown Hill Memorial Park. Donations in Marjorie's memory would be appreciated to the Stone Presbyterian Church or the American Cancer Society.
