Helen T. Fisher 85, a resident of the Katherine Luther Residential Center, passed away at the home on February 9, 2010 with her family by her side. Helen was born in Utica, N.Y. on February 23, 1924 the daughter of John and Theresia (Lammer) Burger. She was raised and educated locally and was a graduate of UFA in Utica. On September 18, 1948 at St. Mary's Church, Utica, Helen was married to Harry Fisher. Mr. Fisher passed away in 1991. She was a stay at home mom caring for her family. Helen was a past member of St. Bernard's Church in Waterville. Helen is survived by two daughters and a son in law; Theresia and Edward Peckham of Wake Forest, NC and Rebecca Ready of Clinton; three son and two daughter in laws; Edward and Viktoria Fisher of Clinton, Michael and Susan Fisher of Beaver Falls, PA and Gregory Fisher of Leesburg, VA. She also leaves ten grandchildren; Timothy, Cara, Christopher, Alex, Nathan, Tricia, Thomas, Matthew, Diana, and Daniel; One sister in law, Agnes Burger of Utica and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, Helen was predeceased by one sister and five brothers; Mary Meyers, John, Joseph, Edward, George, and William Burger. Mrs. Fishers Funeral Mass will Be held Saturday, February 13, 2010 at 11:15 a.m. at the Chapel of the Katherine Luther Home, Clinton, NY. Relatives and friends are invited. Her burial in the spring will take place in St. Bernards Cemetery, Waterville. There are no calling hours. Donations in Helen's Memory would be appreciated to The Brady Faith Center in Syracuse, NY. Helen's family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff of the Katherine Luther Residential Community, especially Michelle Kohl, Sheila Vincent, chris Humphrey, Donna Boshart, Roxanne Barrett and Reverend McCaffrey for the friendship and compassionate care given to Helen and her family. Helen leaves many special friends at the home. She treasured your friendships and will miss all of you. " Goodbyes are not forever. Goodbyes are not the end.
