June B. Dunbar, 66, of Newport Rd., Schuyler passed away peacefully January 11, 2010 with her family at her side. June was born in Hull, England on June 11, 1943 the daughter of Edward and Dorothy (Bryant) Warner. She was educated in England and Poland, N.Y. and went on to attain her Bachelor's Degree at the State University of N.Y. On November 9, 1969 June was married to George Dunbar Jr. June was employed as a banker with Oneida National Bank and later as a branch manager with Bank of America until her retirement. June's family is proud of her commitment to her community. She was president of the American Institute of Banking, a member of the Business and Professional Womens Association, a mentor for women in banking and finance and a Girl Scout leader. She was also a member of the Ilion Presbyterian Church and a former board member of the Presbyterian Home for CNY in New Hartford. June was a vivacious lady who had a great love of life. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, going to the theatre and reading. Mrs. Dunbar will be sadly missed by her husband, the love of her life, George Jr.; her children and grandchildren, Celeste & Ed Swiecki and their children Nicholas, Eric and Kyle all of Boonville, Jacqueline and Tom Grande and their children, Mickey and Marina all of Saratoga Springs and George E. and Deb Dunbar and their daughter Hannah all of Columbus, OH. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her brother Ted Warner. A memorial celebration of June's life will be held on Sunday January 17, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home 408 Herkimer Rd. N. Utica. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00-2:00 prior to the Memorial Celebration. Her burial will take place in W. Schuyler Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
