Mr. Stanley T. Pilawa, Jr., 48 of Lake Placid, NY and Cape Coral, FL passed away unexpectedly on Sunday December 26, 2009 at his home in Lake Placid. Stanley was born in Utica on March 7, 1961 the son of Stanley T. and Susan "Sally" (Capraro) Pilawa, Sr. He was raised locally and was a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School. On June 22, 1984 Stanley married Marcia Beaton at St. Peter's Church in N. Utica. Stanley was an owner of Vexor-Tech Company of Ohio. He was a parishioner of St. Agnes Church in Lake Placid and was an avid golfer. Mr. Pilawa is survived by his beloved wife, Marcia; two sons, Stanley C. Pilawa of Ohio and Matthew J. Pilawa, attending college in NJ; his mother, Susan (Sally) Pilawa of Clinton; mother-in-law, Marcia Beaton of N. Utica; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Joseph P. and Sandra Beaton of Remsen, Rikard and Ann Beaton of Clinton, Aron Beaton of Marcy, Eunice Matt of Vernon Center and Monica and Bryan Zevotek of Carthage, NY and several aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Stanley, Sr., sister Dawn J. Pilawa and father-in-law, Joseph R. Beaton. Mr. Pilawa's funeral will be held on Thursday December 31, 2009 at 10:15 a.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica and 11:00 at St. Joseph & St. Patrick Church where his mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Interment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery in Yorkville.
