Linda Louise Kelsey Vanderhoff, 57, of Utica passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2009 at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center in Utica. Linda was born in Utica on August 9, 1951 a daughter of Frank and Eleanor (Williams) Wolak. At Sacred Heart Church, Utica on June 30, 1999 Linda married Don Vanderhoff. For many years Linda was employed with the Sturgess Manufacturing Co. She was a member of St. Joseph's-St. Patrick's Church, Utica. Linda was an avid bird watcher and enjoyed spending time in nature. Linda is survived by her husband and soul mate, Don, her children; Sigmund Kelsey, Utica, Lisa Kelsey, Utica, Amy Garrett and husband James, Utica and Katrina Jefferson and husband B.J., KY, grandchildren; Samantha Koscinski, Robert & Alexis Whiting, Rebecca and Victor Kelsey, Carrilynn & Jamie Garrett all of Utica, brother and sisters; Rose Czternastek and husband Stan, Utica, Frank Wolak and wife Patricia, Whitesboro and Chris Purcell, Sylvan Beach, mother-in-law and father-in-law; Martha and Harry Griffith, Utica, aunts and uncles; Claudia Hulser, Clinton, Duff Geary and husband Bill, Vernon Center, Jennie Misiaszek and husband John, Whitesboro, many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and two special companions; Bandit and Leo. Linda was predeceased by her parents and her brother, C.J. Wolak. A memorial mass for Linda will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at 10:00 at St. Joseph's-St. Patrick's Church, Utica. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Whitestown. There are no calling hours. Those so wishing may make donations to the American Cancer Society. The family would like to thank the staff of the ICU at St. Elizabeth's Hospital and Dr. Lynn Paquette for the wonderful care given to Linda.
