Obituary of Eunice N. Beaton

The family of Eunice N. Beaton acknowledges with love her passing to her eternal reward. Eunice was born in New Breman, NY on July 24, 1914 the daughter of Michael and Flora (Conrad) Hoch. On July 27, 1934 she married Joseph Beaton in Croghan, NY a union of 34 years until Joseph's death in 1968. Eunice was employed with Joseph Beaton and Son's Construction Company in Utica. She was a parishioner and daily communicant of St. Joseph St. Patrick Church in Utica and a parishioner of St. Peter's Church, N. Utica. Eunice was an auxiliary member of the Legion of Mary, a member of the St. Philomena Rosary Society, a charter member of the Perpetual Adoration Society at St. Joseph St. Patrick Church and traveled extensively as a member of the Blue Army of Our Lady of Fatima. She did volunteer work at Marcy State Hospital and enjoyed painting, gardening and horse back riding. Mrs. Beaton is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and John Carvelli of Utica; two sons and four daughters-in-law, Gary and Elizabeth Beaton of Utica, Eric and Lou Anne Beaton of Deerfield, Marcia Beaton of FL and Sheila Beaton of Utica; 26 grandchildren 51 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law, Dorchen Hoch of AZ, Theresa Lehman of Croghan, NY, Mary and Regis Schafer of CA and Finley Beaton of Deerfield; dear lifelong friends, Ronald and Joan Waters and Elon Barniak and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sons, Joseph Beaton and Lynn Beaton; three sisters, Mabel Kirch, Violet Boshart and Mildred Burkhard and three brothers, Floyd Hoch, Leonard Hoch and Norris Hoch. Mrs. Beaton's funeral will be held on Tuesday June 16, 2009 at 9:15 a.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica and 10:00 at St. Joseph St. Patrick Church where her Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery, N. Utica.
