Mrs. Veronica M. LeClair, 80 of Willington, CT formerly of Matthews Ave, Utica passed away on Wednesday March 4, 2009 in Connecticut after a short illness. Veronica was born in Ellenburg Center, NY on September 5, 1928 the daughter of Francis and Florence (LaClair) Charette and received her education in Ellenburg Center schools. On December 2, 1950, Veronica married Harry R. LeClair in Ellenburg Center a loving union of over 50 years until Harry's death in 2001. From 1963 until 2005, Veronica was owner and operator of Ronnie's Beauty Salon on Lenox Ave in Utica. She was a parishioner of the former Sacred Heart Church in Utica and a devote member of the Perpetual Adoration Society at St. Joseph St. Patrick Church in Utica. Mrs. LeClair is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and William Kane of Portsmouth, RI; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Daniel and Patricia LeClair of Wakeman, OH and Stephen LeClair of Willington, CT; three grandchildren, Danielle Snider and her husband Benjamin, Jason Kane and Lauren Kane; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Lorraine and Paul Tatro of MA, Elaine and Ivan Trombley of MA and Bertha Snay of Albany, NY; one brother and sister-in-law, Royal and Elizabeth Charette of NV; two sisters-in-law, Kay Kivett and her husband Noble of Fl and Helen Kruk and her husband Theodore of Clinton, NY and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, Morris, Raymond and Leo Charette. Mrs. LeClair's funeral will be held on Monday March 9, 2009 at 9:15 a.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica and 10:00 at the Church of the Sacred Heart and St. Mary's in NY Mills where her Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Entombment will be in Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum at Holy Trinity Cemetery in Yorkville. Calling hours for family and friends are Sunday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Those so wishing may consider a Mass offering in memory of Veronica.
