Theodore J. Klocek Utica Theodore J. Klocek, 88, of Utica, passed away Sunday, February 11, 2007 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare Center, New Hartford. Ted was born in Utica on October 12, 1918, the son of Stanley and Helen (Grela) Klocek. He was raised and educated locally, graduating from Utica Free Academy. During World War II, he served with the Civilian Conservation Corps. On July 25, 1948, Ted married Irene Zawada in Utica. He went on to work for General Electric in Utica. Ted was a member of St. Peter's Church, North Utica. Ted is survived by his beloved wife, Irene, Utica; two daughters and a son-in-law, Yvonne Klocek, Minnesota, Renee and Kevin Zanellato, Arizona; his grandson, Robert Merriman, Arizona; as well as by many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sister, Mary Kozlowski. Mr. Klocek's funeral will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2007 at 11:00 am at St. Peter's Church, North Utica, where his Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will take place in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Whitestown, at the convenience of the family. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Road, North Utica, Friday evening, from 3 ? 7 pm. Donations may be made to the American Heart Association or to St. Peter's Church in Ted's memory.
