Mr. Robert (T-Top) C. Legault, 91 of Utica passed away on Monday May 12, 2008 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Utica. Robert was born in Malone, NY on May 11, 1917 the son of Napoleon (Paul) and Delia (Cantell) Legault and received his education in Malone schools. On November 6, 1941, Robert married Evelyn Monnette in Malone, a union of 55 years until Evelyn's death in 1996. Robert was a self employed mason and later employed as a welder with Steinhorst Sheet Metal in Utica until his retirement in 1969. At one time he was the owner of T-Top Bread Company in Malone. He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart and St. Mary's Church, NY Mills, a member of the Moose Lodge in Malone and enjoyed working on any project that required cement. Mr. Legault is survived by four daughters and two sons-in-law, Barbara and Ephriam Martin, Cassville, Patricia LeGault and her fiancé, Richard Wishart, NY Mills, Brenda and Robert Battin, Rome and Delis Kimball, Utica; one son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Linda LeGault, Utica; 15 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by many brothers and sisters. Mr. Legault's funeral will be held on Saturday May 17, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart and St. Mary's Church, NY Mills where his mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, Utica will be held at the convenience of his family. Calling hours for family and friends are Saturday Morning at the Heintz Funeral Home 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica from 8:30-10:30 prior to the funeral mass Mr. Legault's family extends the gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff at St. Elizabeth Medical Center 3rd floor for the care in providing comfort to Robert in his final days. A special thank you to Robert's grand daughter, Melissa Adams and dear family friend, Kristy Zayas for the loving care you provided to Robert. Your love and kindness will always be treasured.
