JoAnne F. Gawarecki of Scottsmoor, FL passed peacefully at her home on Friday, December 9, 2016 with her loving family at her side. She leaves a daughter Dolores, son-in-law Michael Tinelli, two nieces, Katherine David and Michele Hart and many great nieces and nephews. She also leaves many close friends. JoAnne was educated in local schools and for many years was employed with Kewpee Drive Inn in Utica. She was also the first village clerk of Sylvan Beach, NY. JoAnne was a remarkable and loving woman of great faith and the world will be less bright without her. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 19, 2016 from 4:30 p.m. -5:00 p.m. at Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica, followed by a service at 5:30 p.m. at Our Saviour Lutheran Church, 1640 Genesee St., Utica, NY 13502. A private burial will be held on Tuesday at Forest Hill Cemetery in Utica.
