Isabel Nojeim Utica Miss Isabel Nojeim, a lifelong resident of Utica passed away on Friday February 23, 2007 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare, New Hartford. Isabel was born in Utica the daughter of Saad and Nazera (Shehadi) Nojeim. She was raised in Utica, was a graduate of Utica Free Academy and Utica School of Commerce. Isabel was employed in her families business, Nojeim Groceries, later with Grants book store and UNIVAC during WW II and until her retirement with Ferris TV Company. She was and avid bowler participating in many local leagues, was a down hill skier with the GE Ski Club and enjoyed participating in and watching sporting events. She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church, Utica. Isabel was very much loved by all and in return gave much of herself to all. Miss Nojeim is survived by three sisters and one brother-in-law, Marion Norton, Utica, Eleanor and Eli Aramony, Worchester, MA and Bebe Aramony, Alexandria, VA; two nieces, Joan Bernert, New Hampshire and Susan Kanelidis, Fl, and five nephews, Paul Norton, Utica, John Aramony, MA, Russell Aramony, MA, William S. Aramony, VA and Robert Aramony, VA and many great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Saad and Nazera and a sister, Frieda Nojeim. Miss Nojeim's funeral will be held on Wednesday February 28, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church where her mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Utica. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the American Cancer Society in Isabel's memory.
