Obituary of Marguerite L. Wagner

Mrs. Margureite L. Wagner, 102 of the St. Joseph's Nursing Home and formerly of Taylor Ave., Utica passed away Sunday February 4, 2007 at the nursing home. Marguerite was born in Utica on March 14, 1904 the daughter of Fred and Lucy (Cramer) Mager. At St. Mary's Church, Utica on June 23, 1928 she married Henry Wagner. Mr. Wagner passed away on December 23, 1980. Marguerite was a life long member of St. Mary's Church, Utica and its Altar Rosary Society. Marguerite fondly remembered Father Joseph Lechner who baptized her and later was married by him. She will now meet him again. Margureite is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Jerome F. and Mary Jane Wagner, Utica, Paul B. and Linda Wagner, Deerfield, and Richard A. and Roberta Wagner, Deerfield, Two daughters and a son-in-law, Joan Horth, Chadwicks, and Barbara and Howard St. John, Forestport. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 2 more in a month. Marguerite was predeceased by a young son Robert S. Wagner and a son-in-law, Richard Horth. Mrs. Wagner's funeral will be held on Thursday February 8, 2007 at 2:00 p.m.at the Chapel of the St. Joseph's Nursing Home. A spring burial will take place at the Townsend Cemetery, Stittville, NY. The family will be recieving family and friends at the conclusion of the funeral mass. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the St. Joseph's Nursing Home. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Father Anthony LaFache, Father Richard O'Neill, Father David Sambor, and the Carmalite Sisters and staff of the St. Joseph's Nursing Home for all the loving care and compassion shown to Marguerite throughout the years.
