Mesa, AZ - Clinton, NY - Robert J. Heintz, 63, passed away after a brief illness on December 3, 2016 at Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, AZ, with family by his side. Bob was born in Utica, NY on August 28, 1953, the son of Edward C., Sr. and Charlotte (Krebser) Heintz. He was raised in Clinton and graduated from Clinton Central Schools . He went on to college at the State University of NY at Canton, where he got an Associate's Degree in Automotive Technology. Bob then extended his education at Buffalo State College. He started his early career as the operator of the Arco gas station in Clinton. After moving to Arizona, Bob became employed with Arctic Refrigeration Inc., for a number of years. His last employment was as a welder, with Techni-weld, Inc. in Tempe, AZ. A fun loving guy, Bob enjoyed letting everyone know about his golf game in Mid-January and February. Bob is survived by one sister and four brothers, Susan M. Heintz of Rome, Edward Heintz, Jr. of Atlanta, GA, Richard and Cynthia Heintz of Clinton, Paul and Patricia Heintz of Clinton, and David Heintz and Linda Abele of Clinton; several nieces and nephews, Kristy, Rebecca, Sara, Richard II, Joel, Lori, Bethany, Emily, Katie, David Jr., Andrea, and Nicholas. Bob was predeceased by his parents, Edward and Charlotte. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass for Bob to be held on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 10:00 am at St. Mary's Church, Clinton, where his Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Parish Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Those wishing may donate to St. Mary's Cemetery or the Clinton Volunteer Fire Department in Bob's memory.
