Mrs. Mary Rose Noga, 77 of N. Utica passed away on Tuesday July 3, 2007 at her home after a long illness. Mary was born in Utica on March 8, 1930 the daughter of John and Veronica (Mulkerin) Moorehead. She was raised in Utica, attended St. Patrick's grade school and was a graduate of Utica Catholic Academy. On November 26, 1949 Mary married Edward J. Noga in Utica a union of 23 years until Edward's death in 1972. At one time she was employed with General Electric Company and most recently with Hamilton Digital Controls until her retirement. Mary was a member of the N. Utica Senior Center and a parishioner of St. Joseph St. Patrick Church in Utica. She enjoyed bowling and taking trips to the casino. Mrs. Noga is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Edward J. Noga, Jr., Cold Brook, and Thomas and Lauri Noga, Whitesboro; two beloved grand daughters, Jessica Noga and Sarah Noga both of Whitesboro; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Joseph and Bonnie Moorehead, Rome and William and Patricia Moorehead, Whitesboro; three sisters-in-law, Frances Lockwood, Oswego, Helen Sinker, Yorkville and Lillian Bourgoin, MA and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, John Noga in 1972, brother, John Moorehead and sister-in-law, Mary Townsend. Mrs. Noga's funeral will be held on Friday July 6, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Joseph St. Patrick Church where her mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Whitesboro. Calling hours for family and friends are Thursday (today) 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica. Those so wishing may consider a donation to the American Cancer Society in Mary's memory.
