Leontine (Teena) M. Cerino, 48, of Yorkville passed away Saturday July 7, 2007 in St. Luke's Hospital. Leontine was born in Utica on April 9, 1959 a daughter of Lillian (Gadziala) Soja and the late Lee Soja. She was a 1978 graduate of Notre Dame High School. In Utica on January 4, 1982 Leontine married John J. Cerino. She was currently employed with the Oneida County Sheriffs Department. Leontine was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church, Utica. Teena is survived by her husband; John, her mother; Lillian Soja, Yorkville, two daughters; Elisa C. Cerino, and Jacqueline M. Cerino, both of Yorkville, three sisters and brothers-in-law; Leeana and Rychard Grant, GA, Marie Achen and David Wlock, Yorkville, and Mary Lee and Bill Williams, NH, a brother and sister-in-law; Lee and Lisa Soja, New York Mills, nieces and nephews; Rachelle Grant, Rychard Grant, Tomasine Achen, Shane Williams, Blake Williams, Christian Soja, and Cameron Soja, two great nieces; Olivia Achen and Angel Grant, several great aunts, uncles and cousins and her canine companion; Sonny. Leontine was predeceased by her father Lee in 1970, her maternal grandparents; Albert and Catherine Gadziala and her in-laws; John and Wanda Cerino. Mrs. Cerino's funeral will be held on Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at 9:15 from the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica and at 10:00 Sacred Heart Church, Utica. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus & Casimer Cemetery, Whitesboro. Calling hours at the funeral home are Tuesday (Today) from 4-8. Those so wishing may make donations to Sacred Heart Church or St. Mary's Church in Leontine's memory The family would like to extend a heart felt thanks to Dr. Atul Butala and staff especially, Michele, Barbara, Renee and Nancy, the Oncology Unit of St. Luke's Hospital and friends, Rick and Carol D'Alessandro and Bob and Jodi Flo for all the care and concern shown to Teena during her illness, and a special thank you to the all the workers at the Court House who had the benefit for Teena. Your kindness will not be forgotten.
