Joseph V. Colosimo, 60 of Whitesboro passed away on Tuesday June 24, 2008 at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center. Joseph was born in Utica on April 28, 1948 a son of the late Michael and Josephine (Scire) Colosimo. In Utica on October 9, 1982 Joseph married Linda G. Edwards. For 40 years until his retirement in April 2008 Joseph was employed with Met Life. He was a member of St. Paul's Church, Whitesboro. Joseph was an avid NY Yankees and NY Giants fan but he received the most enjoyment from watching his son bowl. Joseph is survived by his beloved wife, Linda, his son and best buddy, A.J. Colosimo, Whitesboro, a daughter; Josephine (JoJo) Colosimo and a grandson, Malick Colosimo, AZ, two sisters and brothers-in-law; Michele and John Adams, SC and Cathy and Joel Vandawalker, Utica, three brothers and two sisters-in-law; Michael and Cathy Colosimo, Frankfort, Mark and Sandy Colosimo, Utica and Felix (Phil) Colosimo, Utica two aunts; Connie Emilian, Utica who raised Joseph and Grace Jackson, New Hartford, his mother-in-law; Rita Edwards, Utica in-laws; Joan and Mike Cardarelli, Barbara and Joe Petronella, Christine and Ray Wiegand, Larry Edwards, all of Utica and Stephen and Lisa Edwards, NC, several cousins especially noted; Joe Leo, Ralph Leo, Marianne Gigliotti and Vinnie Rybasch and many nieces and nephews. Joseph was predeceased by an aunt who also raise him Mary D'Angelo and her husband, Dick, his father-in-law; Howard Edwards and stepmother; Antonetta Colosimo. Mr. Colosimo's funeral will be held on Saturday June 28, 2008 at 9:30 from St. Paul's Church, Whitesboro. Entombment will be in the Calvary Mausoleum, Utica. Calling hours at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., North Utica are Friday from 4-8. Please omit flowers.
